If you search, you’ll find a few writeups on how to adjust the configuration, but I want to document the minimum steps to suppress the restore session dialog.

  1. Enter about:config into the URL field.
  2. Enter sessionstore into the displayed filter field and press Enter.
  3. Double-click the value cell of the browser.sessionstore.enabled row, so that the value field reads False.
  4. Restart Firefox. One click saved.
